Dr. Samarth Rao is an Ayurvedic physician trained in classical Ayurvedic treatments. He is known for his work in male infertility, managing joint issues and other chronic health issues such as diabetes. He is practicing clinical Ayurveda in Bangalore at Basavangudi, BSK 1st Stage (Bank Colony) and in Australia at his clinic- Green Tree Ayurveda.
He is a well-known TV personality and quite famous among his patients and general public since his Ayurvedic cooking shows went up on television. Many patients from Bangalore, other sates in India and overseas have benefited from his treatment.
Born in a family of dedicated Ayurvedic Practitioners, Dr. Samarth grew up learning Ayurveda first at home and later trained as a Ayurvedic Physician at a Bangalore University and a Public Health professional from a Australian University. Since 8 years of age, He has been identifying herbs, processing herbal preparation, exposed to pulse reading and providing therapies to the patients visiting his parent’s Ayurvedic practices in India. It was a family business and part of growing up, which motivated him to take up a formal qualification in Ayurveda and then he completed a bachelor's degree in Ayurveda and Surgery from Bangalore, India.
His interest in Ayurvedic medicines took him to Australia and finished two master's degrees in the public health field. Simultaneously, he taught Ayurvedic lessons in different schools and trained many students to learn Ayurveda in Australia.
He believes in the traditional heritage of Ayurveda and Vedic philosophy in healing and providing solutions to health problems. He has been spreading the word of Ayurveda by organizing Ayurveda workshops, short courses, writing for local magazines and raising awareness of Ayurveda by speaking in various conferences and TV channels in Australia and India.
